Designer Q & A: More About Me
For those of you whom I’ve not yet had the pleasure to meet. Here’s a little post to introduce myself to you. “Hi!”

As a young girl, I loved playing MASH (Mansion Apartment Shack House), taking polls around school and always loved a good questionnaire. Now, as a grownup and interior designer, I’m a label-making addict, adore building a new client binder and filing/archiving into sub-folders on google drive…yep, you can guess: I’m an organization nerd.

Before social media, it was folded pieces of paper we’d all add to, passing them to one another in the halls between classes, writing in our juicy details, marking our personalities boldly in our jelly sparkle pens or stickers (Lisa Frank was my GOD back then)…so here it goes…my 2019 version of a “Get To Know Me” post.

grAyed LAVENDER - happens to also be the main color of our master bedroom
4. What is your favorite day of the week?
saturday, especially now that it’s college football time again #gorebs
5. What is your favorite food?
thanksgiving dinner
6. What is your favorite drink?

First dirty martini in our new house. We renovated the entire house for 6 months and lived with my parents during that time. This is our front room we call the Salon - we love to host and this is the fun cocktail and dancing room. As you can see, it’s a very French house…more photos to come as drapery installs and more layers go up. <wink>
7. What do you want to do when you grow up?
interior design…oh wait
8. What do you want to do when you retire?
teach, volunteer and travel a lot
9. If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would you do?
wrap up my client projects, move to a mountain climate, buy a ranch and become a flower farmer with a home goods shop and sell my fresh florals there too

surprise engagement on the charles river bridge ~ i thought we were getting mugged and it was a total setup by my love, alan, with PHOTOGRAPHERS ready. i still don’t know how he pulled it all off.

alan - he’s such a survivalist
my dog momma - for laughs
fresh water - a must
…we could survive with those basics
42. What do you do to de-stress?
garden…i never thought i’d say that but it’s true. buy a house with a lot of beds and borders and you’ll find out…THAT, or you’ll have a huge landscaping bill. one of the two. <wink>

43. Favorite season:
autumn…my birthday is the end of summer and i love halloween, college football, crisp evening dog walks, uggs, sweaters, chilly mornings with hot coffee…very hygge
44. Something you’re terrible at:
defending myself in an argument - but I’m getting better BECAUSE of a few contractors lately, lol

45. What do you think your best quality is:
my honesty - i’m a terrible liar and i’ll own up to any mistakes. this is a great quality but also can get me into trouble when i overshare. i’m working on it though.
